Five Oaks Farm offers fine alpaca fleece, roving and yarn in a wide variety of natural colors. We also offer stud services at reasonable prices, alpacas for sale, and alpaca and llama boarding. We are located approximately 15 miles south of Madison, Wisconsin, on a 24-acre farm.
Update 12/20/10
We had three crias this spring:
A dark fawn male cria named Mona Lisa's Cognac who was born in May 2010 to Victory's Mona Lisa and the sire Victory's Ryan. We are sorry to say we lost Mona Lisa, his mother, about two in a half months after his birth. However, another one of our females, Anise, who also gave birth adopted him. It is interesting to see the two of them nurse at the same time - just like twins.
A dark brown male cria named Tulio was born in June 2010 to Victory's Anise and the sire Rojolio.
A dark silver gray female named Genya was born in May 2010 to Victory's Miss Haworth (Rita) and the sire Rojolio.
Purchases:
We also purchased from Linda and Jim Stark of Alpacas of the Ark a great dark silver grey male named Ark's Splendour's Doran. He won the color championship and a blue ribbon at the the 2010 Great Midwest Alpaca show. We are planning on using him in our breedings next year.
We also purchased another female named Ark's Sara Bella and her medium brown female cira, who we named Vibeke. The sire of Vibeke is Accoyo America Marathon.
Breedings:
We are expecting the birth of two ciras in June 2011 and two ciras in the fall of 2011.
Fiber:
We plan on having more colors available next spring.
